Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior climbing experience?
While no technical climbing experience is required, this package is physically demanding and involves scrambling over rocks and climbing steep sections. Previous hiking experience and comfort with heights are strongly recommended. Your guide will provide instruction and assistance throughout all climbs.
How difficult is the Burdah Rock Bridge climb?
The Burdah Rock Bridge climb is challenging, involving approximately 3-4 hours round trip with some steep and exposed sections. It requires good physical fitness, balance, and comfort with heights. The climb is rated as moderate to difficult, but does not require technical climbing skills or equipment.
What is the minimum age requirement?
Due to the physical demands and exposure to heights, this package is recommended for participants aged 16 and above. Younger participants with significant climbing or hiking experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
What should I wear for the climbs?
We recommend wearing comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support and grip are essential. Lightweight, long-sleeved shirts and pants are recommended for protection from the sun and occasional rock scrapes. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are also essential.
Is this package available year-round?
This package is available from September to May. We do not recommend it during the summer months (June-August) due to extreme heat, which makes climbing potentially dangerous. The best months are October-November and March-April when temperatures are most comfortable for climbing activities.
